The Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swim is a unique annual open-water swimming race held in Istanbul, Turkey. The participants swim across the Bosphorus Strait, effectively crossing from the Asian side of Istanbul to the European side. The Bosphorus swim, which covers a distance of approximately 6.5 kilometers (4 miles), is renowned for its challenging currents and picturesque views, offering swimmers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to swim between two continents.
The swim not only tests endurance but also provides a scenic tour of one of the world’s most iconic waterways, lined with historic landmarks such as the Maiden’s Tower and the Bosphorus Bridge.
